A historic riverside freehouse on one of the most beautiful stretches of the River Severn
Visit UsWe took over the Red Lion Wainlode in Spring 2025. We wanted to preserve the history of the Red Lion as a destination pub on sunny days for eating and drinking by the river. We introduced the smokehouse as a way of honouring the pub’s history and providing an all-year destination for families and those just stopping off hoping for a hearty meal and a warm welcome!
We'll also have a range of beer, ciders, and lagers on the bar, including Wye Valley HPA and Butty Bach, as well as Neck Oil, Amstel, Cruzcampo, Murphy’s Stout, Inch’s, and Old Mout fruit ciders. We have fantastic entertainment with singers, comedians, and a weekly quiz, so look out for our website and Facebook page for details. We are proud to be a Free House.
